Keith Russell

I'm an artist.  I work in charcoal, oils, acrylics, airbrushed acrylics, wood, and polymer clay.

I've exhibited across the US, mainly at science fiction (SF) conventions--including a World SF Convention in San Antonio, and a North American SF Convention In Anaheim.  I've shown at large outdoor art fairs in Dallas and Kansas City, and in galleries in Kansas City, Columbus, and Dallas.

I earned a BFA in painting from the
Kansas City Art Institute in 2008.

In 2019, I will be doing at least two shows
outside Kansas City, starting with my second
appearance as the Artist Guest-of-Honour at
 the Snowflake Science Fiction Convention,
in January 2019.

Also, I've been focused on the spiders for
a while now--and, I still like them (and they
still have a lot to do)...

...but, I want them to interact with people,
ore than they have, up to now.

So, I plan to bring figures back into my work,
in a dramatic way, in 2019.  I also want to
create some figurative, non-spider, work that
 is more "science-fiction-originated", like my
older", airbrushed stuff.

And, you'll be able to see it all here!  I hope you enjoy it..
